Special topic for water environment

As an important part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2030 Agenda, the crisis of water resources (SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation) has become an important constraint to global economic development. Under the dual pressure of water shortage and high-quality modern life, how to use and optimize water quality scientifically has become an important strategy to ensure the harmonious development of society, and young scholars will play an important role in this process. Therefore, with the success of “The 1st Europe-China Eco-Environmental Forum for Young Scholars” on May 22nd, 2022, we will hold a special online forum of “The 1st Europe-China Eco-Environmental Forum for Young Scholars - Special Topic on Water Environment” on December 10th, 2022, aiming to build a communication platform for young scholars in the water environment field of European Chinese, and deepen their exchange and cooperation of frontier issues of water environment under the new development pattern and the background of a new era. 

The forum is divided into five themes:

(1) Nature-based water treatment

(2) Resources and energies for wastewater treatment

(3) Intellectualization and information on water treatment

(4) Watershed water improvement

(5) Water treatment challenges and solution strategies
