Dr. Ted Mao is Chief Technology Officer, Evercloak, and Founder and Principal Consultant, MW Technologies to help start-up companies develop and commercialize new technologies in the CleanTech space. Ted was Vice President, Research and Chief Technology Officer for 14 years at Trojan Technologies, one of the largest UV water treatment companies in the world. He is an executive board member and President at the International UV Association (IUVA). He is also a member of Professional Engineering Ontario, and a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineers.
Dragan Savić is a Professor of Hydroinformatics at the University of Exeter in the UK, Emeritus CEO and Global Advisor on Digital Sciences at KWR Water Research Institute based in the Netherlands. He is a Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) and Academia Europaea. With over 40 years of experience in engineering technology, academia, and consultancy, he is an internationally recognized expert in water engineering and hydroinformatics. He has influenced the water sector through research, mentoring, leadership roles in international organizations, and advisory positions in water technology companies and government bodies. Known for his innovation and leadership, he advocates for applying science in the broader water sector and utilities.
Liu Zhengxuan, an EU Marie Curie Fellow, is a researcher at the School of Architecture and Built Environment at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. His main research focuses on sustainable urban energy transition, zero-carbon building technology development and application, intelligent buildings and energy management in smart communities. He has been included in the 2024 Global Top 2% Scientists List by Elsevier and Stanford University.
Dr. Liu is currently the Associate Editor of the Nature subsidiary journal Humanities & Social Sciences Communications (JCR Zone 1), the Associate Editor of the internationally renowned SCI journal Journal of Housing and the Built Environment (JCR Zone 2), and the Associate Editor of the internationally renowned SCI journal Energy Exploration & Exploitation (JCR Zone 3).
Dr. Liu has published over 50 SCI papers, including 35 as the first or corresponding author (30 in JCR Zone 1, 2 ESI highly cited papers), with a total citation of 3050+ times and an H-index of 32. He has authored one English monograph and is the lead author of the core chapters in 7 English monographs; he has applied for over 35 patents, with 20 already authorized (including 10 invention patents).
Dr. Liu currently serves as a co-reviewer for international scientific councils (ISC), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Open Research Europe, national and several provincial natural science fund projects, etc. He is currently a Vebleo Fellow of the renowned international scientific organization, a Member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society, an IEEE Member, the Executive Chairman/Vice Chairman of the MCAA (European Official Support Institution for Marie Curie Alumni) in the Greater China Region, the founder of the "Marie Curie Scholars Chinese Association", and has served as the Executive Chairman and current Co-Chairman.
Dr. Shihong Lin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Vanderbilt University in the United States. His research primarily focuses on water-related separation processes, aiming to address the core technological challenges associated with water separation in support of sustainable development. His research is focused on three key areas: water treatment and desalination, selective solute separation for resource recovery or extraction, and the treatment of high-salinity wastewater. Dr. Shihong Lin has published over 100 articles in highly recognized journals within the field. He has received several honors and awards, including the Walter Huber Research Prize from the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2023, the Clarivate Highly Cited Scholar in 2022, the Paul L. Busch Award from the Water Research Foundation in 2020, and the Rising Star Researcher Award from the Chinese-American Professors in Environmental Engineering and Science (CAPEES) in 2020. He currently serves as the President of CAPEES and is an editor or editorial board member for several academic journals.
Dr. Zongsu Wei is a tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Aarhus University, Denmark. He is the group leader for Water Engineering Innovation Lab and secure 31 million Danish kroner (4.5 million USD) funding from Danish and EU agencies. Professor Wei is currently serving as the Associate Editor for Water Research (Elsevier Publishing), Editor for Water Science and Technology (International Water Association Publishing). He published almost 100 peer-reviewed papers, among which 19 papers are recognized as the ESI 1% Highly Cited Paper and 5 as the ESI 0.1% Hot Paper. In 2022 and 2023, Prof. Wei was recognized the TOP 2% Scientists in Environmental Science and received the prestigious Sapere Aude Research Leader by the Independent Research Foundation Denmark in 2021.

Committed to the basic research and technology development of chemical separation process strengthening for a long time, and has systematically explored and expanded the green and efficient separation theory and corresponding technical system. Heng Liang is a tenured professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Director of Personnel in School of Environment, Harbin Institute of Technology. He is a National High-Level Talent, the Director of the Youth Committee of the China Urban Water Association, , the Winner of National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and the Young and Middle-aged Leader in Science and Technology Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology.. Ngo, Huu Hao (Hao) is currently a Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering and being Deputy Director, Centre for Technology in Water and Wastewater, and Co-Director, Joint Research Centre for Environmental Green Bioprocess, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, FEIT, University of Technology Sydney (UTS, THE world ranking 133). Hao’s expertise and practical experience include advanced biological waste/wastewater treatment processes, circular economy based clean technologies, resource recovery, bioenergy, minimization of wastes and net zero emissions, membrane technologies, alternative water resources, and environmental impacts assessment. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of Bioresource Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal, Associate Editor of Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Water Process Engineering, and Editorial Board Member/Guest editor of many internationally recognized journals.
